PBIS Framework (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)

DCDC is in the early stages of implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)—a proven, school-wide framework that helps create a positive, predictable, and safe learning environment for all children.

PBIS focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, setting clear expectations, and using consistent strategies across classrooms. Our current efforts include staff training, developing behavior expectations, and creating routines to support social-emotional development.

Our long-term goal is to implement PBIS with fidelity, building a strong foundation that supports every child’s success through positive guidance and relationship-based practices.
