Our Child Assessment Process

  • Authentic early childhood assessments based upon child observation are conducted three times a year.
  • DCDC uses Teaching Strategies Gold, which is aligned with PA Standards for Early Learning.
  • Formal assessment allows for teachers to inform classroom practices and individualize children’s learning based upon their development.
  • Parent-Teacher conferences are offered twice a year, or upon parent request, to discuss a child’s development and build upon the teacher-family partnership.
